Crock-pots are arguably the best invention since sliced bread. It’s amazing what you can make in a crock-pot these days…chili, cake, cornbread…you get the idea. But one of the easiest things to cook in this awesome contraption is chicken! As a girl who is constantly on the go, I find making meals ahead of time is the only way I end up not eating lunch out every day or not spending an hour cooking dinner each night. This is one of the best discoveries I’ve made and I use it throughout the week in various dishes. It’s seriously life changing!
Crock-pot Chicken Recipe
-3-4 chicken breasts
1.) Place chicken in the crock-pot and cover with water.
2.) Put crock-pot on high and cook for 4 hours. Once cooked, put chicken in a bowl and allow to cool for 10 minutes so it’s not too hot to handle.
3.) Shred chicken and use in recipes throughout the week (soup, stew, salad, etc.). You can also put the shredded chicken in a freezer safe ziploc bag, freeze it, and use it in the future. So easy!
